![]() ![]() Depending on the chosen image format, the available options are not the same. You can define some parameters to customize your image file by checking the advanced options button. Use whatever full path you like in place of log.txt. ![]() The plot can be exported into several different image formats. If you want to overwrite the log instead of append, use a single '>' rather than the double '>'. Beware that when you use these commands, SciDAVis uses default values as initial guesses for the parameters. Fitting to specific curves SciDAVis include quick access to the most usefull functions for fitting. In the case of plot template (.qpt file), the graphical parameters of the plot, together with the text labels (axis, etc) are restored, but the style used to draw the curves and the scales are not saved. The results are shown in the log window, the curve is plotted in the active window, and a table is created to store the fit. Of course, that is something that shouldn't be done, but the program doesn't object and plots a curve that looks like a perfectly nice fit. Save the active object as a SciDAVis template file. The problem we have found arises when a simple 2-dimensional data graph is made with one of the columns set to text data, instead of numeric, and then a curve fit is attempted. See the the section called “Working with templates”. You just have to add curves with the Add/Remove Curve command, but the style used to draw the curves is not kept in the template.
